A Success Story - Kevin

"I even got money now." - Kevin remarked after announcing that he's been clean and sober for 2 weeks. Here we see Chuck and Betty rejoicing with Kevin over his success.

One month earlier, Kevin had arrived at the mission very ill. He had been unable to afford his much needed prescriptions. He even had a seizure on the pew in the worship center. Betty called a number of us together to pray for him.

Kevin was so sick that his wife, Kathy was feeding him.

Shirley (shown below) and the medical team from LSU joined efforts to determine that Kevin needed to be taken to ER.

After his E.R. visit, Kevin was referred to an agency that would help him to maintain his prescriptions. Today Kevin is productive, working and staying clean and sober.

He and Kathy expect to have a home by next week. At first glance, Shirley and Betty did not recognize the man with his work uniform on.
